9 Doves

I did most of this drawing during the course of watching the movie Romeo+Juliet recently, and the aesthetic style of the film definitely had an influence, but I'd say that even stronger was the score, which I've had a love-affair with for years. This is one of the most intentional drawings I've done, with deliberate contrasts of shape and form and specific numerological associations - 9 doves, 7 candles, 5 fish, 3 circles, 1 key, etc.
